Faith-Focused Community

Mini clovers I noticed during an early fall family session

Dearest reader,

I must confess. Although it is true that Faebelle was planted as a result of imaginative inspiration and creative expression, there is much more to be shared and discussed. It would be dishonest of me to say there was not the slightest hint of hesitation in sharing my love of fantasy and fiction as a Christian. Why, you may ask? Well, my friend, if you would so kindly lend me your ear, I shall acquaint you with a few personal reasons.

Enjoy the warm light of midday gently dancing upon the clover leaves…

There seems to be a shortage of Christ-loving individuals (and much less communities) who enjoy fantasy and nerdy interests such as anime, webtoons, cosplay, videogames, role play (ex: Dungeons & Dragons), etc. This shortage may be a result of multiple reasons including but not limited to: believing mutuals* not vocalizing their interests, lack of diversity in Christian creators, or stigmatization of interests within the Christian community itself. The latter likely holding a significant role which I plan to explore in letters anon. I fear it may prove challenging to grow a community within such a particular niche. Thoughts and doubts such as, “will I even be able to find others who are the same as I?” and “how truly likely is it that other fellow believers and mutuals will find me?” oft still cross my mind.

yet hope remains

yet hope remains ♡

Hope lingers and prompts me to push forward for YOU, my dear reader, that you may retain childlike wonder and be unceasingly reminded of our Lord’s great creativity—Hopefully, finding companionship with like-minded individuals along the way.

If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, please know that you are not excluded! My hope is that you may find community here and come to know the Lord’s great love for you.

With utmost sincerity,

Belle

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25
